Lucknow, November 17, 2024: The third day of the prestigious ‘CII AgroTech – Krishi Bharat 2024’ witnessed an overwhelming response from participants across Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The event has become a hub for stakeholders and industry leaders to explore advancements in agriculture and technology, with special emphasis on the manufacturing and adoption of electric tractors.
A key session, titled ‘Accelerating Electric Tractor Adoption: Positioning Uttar Pradesh as a Global Manufacturing Hub,’ provided a platform for meaningful discussions about the future of sustainable agriculture. Experts discussed the topics including integrating renewable energy into the agricultural ecosystem, the benefits of adopting electric tractors, and their viability in today’s farming practices. Panellists emphasized the government incentives and subsidies offered by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the state’s commitment to fostering the EV ecosystem.
One of the highlights of the session was the launch of a comprehensive handbook,- ‘Electric-Tractor Manufacturing and Adoption in India’ which outlines a roadmap for revolutionizing agriculture through sustainable and advanced technologies. The handbook aims to serve as a guide for policymakers, manufacturers, and farmers, promoting the adoption of electric tractors in India.
The session was moderated by Chandana K, Program Associate, Sustainable Cities & Transport, WRI India, and featured insightful contributions from prominent industry leaders and government officials.
